Financial Controller

Reports to :  Finance Director FPS, based in Germany

Responsible for the accounting. Directly responsible for general ledger accounting, accounting of fixed assets, stocks, tax accounts, accruals /provisions, booking the payroll, etc.

Oversees the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash accounts (handled by an accounting clerk, who reports to this position).

Responsible for ensuring all accounts are reconciled timely.

Responsible for the timely preparation and submission of tax returns.

Responsible for reporting the monthly financials (US GAAP) in a timely manner into the consolidation system (Hyperion).

Answers questions regarding the monthly financials. Analyzes and communicates deviations to budget and to prior periods.

Supports local management in realizing their financial targets. Proactively identifies trends as well as improvement potential. Provides management with financial analysis and decision support.

Prepares the annual budget as well as quarterly forecasts. Prepares the monthly cashflow forecast.

Works with operations and management to monitor, manage and optimize operational cash flow and working capital levels.

Responsible for establishing and enforcing overall internal controls, Group policies and procedures.
